William Nicholson was an English chemist as well a journalist, publisher, inventor, patent agent, and civil engineer (Figure 1). He wrote several important books on very different topics ranging from physics chemistry to architecture marine navigation. His contribution science in establishing 1797 the first periodic scientific journal: Journal of Natural Philosophy, Chemistry, Arts, which generally known “Nicholson's Journal.” The success this periodical inspired creation journals England. Nicholson's most experimental achievement discovery water electrolysis. In 1800, after he heard invention electric battery by Italian physicist Alessandro Volta, constructed similar performed number experiments with it. While doing various Voltaic pile (the Zn-Cu invented Volta), his friend Anthony Carlisle found that when poles are immersed water, they produce bubbles gas identified oxygen (O2) hydrogen (H2) 2). This conceptually because it demonstrated for time interaction electricity chemical materials resulting their transformations 3). other words, produced process stimulated energy. Eventually, whole electrochemistry started experiment.
